A World in Transition: Facing Global Challenges of Sustainability, Lessons from the Arctic
As a part of Fulbright Canada’s speaker series, two distinguished speakers, Dr. Greg Poelzer and Dr. Elizabeth Rink will offer insights into what life in the Arctic can teach us as we battle a pandemic and work to create a sustainable future. Key innovations from the Arctic can help us address sustainability in a world in transition. Elizabeth Rink and Greg Poelzer will discuss how models in the Arctic may provide pathways for other parts of the world in energy, health, and security.

Dr. Poelzer and Dr. Rink are two distinguished scholars with extensive experience in the Arctic who are leading the third round of the Fulbright Arctic Initiative. This initiative brings together professionals, practitioners, and researchers from the United States, Canada, the Kingdom of Denmark including Greenland and the Faroe Islands, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Russia, and Sweden for group seminars and an individual Fulbright exchange to address key research and policy questions related to fostering a secure and sustainable Arctic.
